February 11th, 2025 – Meeting Minutes

TARAWOOD Special Dependent Taxing District NO. 32

MEETING MINUTES

February 11th, 2025 – 3103 Tarabrook Dr, Tampa, FL 33618

Trustee Osborne called the regular meeting of the TSDTD to order at 7:50 P.M.  Trustees attending included: Bob Terri, James Osborne, Stoney Morgado, Daniel Cinquegrano, and James Plunkett.  A quorum was obtained.  There were no Property owners in attendance.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Trustee Osborne read the meeting minutes from January 14th, 2025.  A motion was made by Trustee Plunkett to accept the minutes.  Trustee Terri seconded.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

Our account balance as of 12/31/2024 was $13,808.21, with an ending balance of $19,664.48 as of 1/31/2025.

The following bills have been accrued since the last meeting and are presented for payment:

  • $29.69 TECO bill as of January Statement
  • $475.00 Landscape Maintenance for January 2025, Big League Lawn Service

Trustee Cinquegrano made a motion to approve the above payments, seconded by Trustee Terri.  The board unanimously approves.

OLD BUSINESS:

Though not in attendance, Daniel provided an update that he is still in the process of getting electrician quotes, and that he will provide them at the next regularly scheduled meeting.

Trustee Plunkett commented on TECO communications and the possibility of adding lamp posts to a few dark patches in the neighborhood.  He has not gotten any traction at this point.  Trustee Plunkett to look into motion activated/solar  lights for next month’s meeting which could be installed on our own given consent of property owners.

Trustee Carey commented that the street sign for the intersection of Rhett Ct. and Taragrove Dr. is still missing.  Trustee Terri to call County to get a new sign re-ordered.  Upon receipt of new signage, the board will engage Alan B. who performed our last street signage installation work.

NEW BUSINESS:

Trustee Terri spoke to Sutton Street Sweeping and provided an update that we will recommence sweeping after a few months off.  Trustee Terri makes motion to approve street sweeping to recommence this month and monthly thereafter.  Seconded by trustee Cinquegrano.  Sutton to perform a street sweeping this week, likely, on Wednesday.

Trustee Terri spoke to Bay to Bay Environmental on service for the coming year, with Bay to Bay to provide the next regularly quarterly scheduled treatment within the next few weeks.

Trustee Plunkett discussed the lighting/dark spots issue.  There is an option he found that is a solar flood light (100W) for $125 each.  Trustee to do more research and potentially purchase and return one as a test.  Also regarding lightning, he has had no response from TECO.  Neighbors have complained about the light that is out on Taragrove with no response as well.

Trustee Cinquegrano provided an update on the request for quotes on the electrical repair project at the entranceways.  Over the last month he has received 3 different quotes from electricians to fix the electrical infrastructure and update our signage lighting.

The quotes were provided and discussed:

  • $5,450 Hawkins Service Co., to fix broken infrastructure and install new lights
  • $19,899 Mr. Sparky, (Option 1) total replacement of all existing electrical infrastructure
  • $10,764 Mr. Sparky (Option 2), fix broken infrastructure and install new lights
  • $6,580 Erwin (Electric), fix broken infrastructure and install new lights
  • Property owner Dave S. had recommended Rumore’s Electric, but they have been unresponsive to requests

After deliberation, it was decided that the quote from Hawkins Service Co. for $5,450 is fair and would suit the community’s needs to repair the infrastructure and get the lights back to operational status.  Trustee Cinquegrano also got the best feeling from them, the company having good reviews and being experts in the field.  Mr. Sparky was overpriced and unnecessary for the work we need done.  Trustee Cinquegrano makes a motion to approve the bid of $5,450 with Hawkins Service Co. and to get the job scheduled.  Seconded by Trustee Terri.  Trustee Cineguegrano to contact Hawkins to initiate the repair work.
